With the release of the new Prestige Yachts 460, Prestige Luxury Yachts set out to offer something truly special. Instead of simply making the 460 Prestige a larger version of the 450 model, its designers created a compact luxury yacht that encompasses all the luxury of much larger Prestige Yacht models.
The new Prestige Yachts 460, designed by Garroni and engineered by JP Concepts, boasts an array of features which you will agree are quite desirable and quite unique at this range. For starters, up at the bow you will find new chaise lounge seating where the fixed sunpads would normally be. The new seating arrangement provides better support and comfort for your guests. An optional cabana and teak siding can be added to further enhance the fun, beachy atmosphere on a yacht. But why stop there? The extended stern platform can be outfitted with hydraulic equipment to allow you to easily form your own little beach. Use the platform to transport and launch your PWCs, then lounge in the water while guests take turns on the jet skis! Did we mention the platform is large enough to also accommodate an optional BBQ grill and sink? When not in use, the outdoor galley transforms into bench seating to enjoy the view.
Moving inside the yacht, the enormous aft deck is now outfitted with an L-shaped settee and optional pedestal table which can transform into a huge sunpad. Worthy of noting is that this area is so ample that one can easily access the starboard side deck via a set of steps without having to crawl over the seating. Portside you will find the steps -not a ladder- leading to the flybridge (more on that later). Last but not least, in this area we find one of the most interesting features of this ingenious new yacht: an option to turn the lazarette into a Captain's quarters complete with a single berth and private wet head.
The salon inside the Prestige Yachts 460 contains the well-appointed galley and salon deck, both bathed in natural light thanks to the classic Prestige panoramic windows. The windows' signature "dip" allows for unobstructed views from inside the yacht. An optional hi-lo pedestal table transforms the salon into an additional berth.
The lower helm station inside the salon is thoughtfully laid out, with air vents to minimize heat coming from the expansive windows. Optional dual screens allow you to control nearly every aspect of the yacht's performance. Enjoy the maneuverability afforded by the twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines! The flybridge helm station upstairs is located in line with the steps leading down below, so that the operator can have a clear view of the yacht's stern. It is a fully functional helm station with extra-wide seating.
And speaking of the flybridge, this is the one area that is sure to become your party's favorite hangout. Accessible by the aforementioned stairs, there is more than enough room to lounge around in and enjoy the cruise while taking in the breathtaking views. You will find a very large sunpad to starboard that wraps around the front of the helm, and another L-shaped settee aft with a table to enjoy refreshments. Add to all this the optional galley and bimini top, and the flybridge becomes its very own party central.
One of the more distinctive changes to the Prestige Yachts 460 layout is the departure away from the multiple private stateroom entrances. Recent Prestige Yachts models feature private entrances to the staterooms, which are a phenomenal and unique feature. However, in the case of the Prestige 460, the staterooms are accessed by a centralized companionway in order to maximize the space aboard the yacht. The result of this important difference is that the Master stateroom takes up 60% of the lower deck (source), is located in the hull's centerline for better stability, and can even accommodate a king-size bed. The second stateroom, aka the VIP stateroom, offers the signature Prestige versatility via a scissors-style berth that can be used as a single bed or twin mattresses (for use by siblings, for example). The VIP stateroom also boasts generous natural light via the large side hull windows and overhead skylights.
In addition to the plentiful amount of options already mentioned here, prospective owners of this impressive yacht have many other upgrades at their disposal. Among these additional choices are three levels of Climate Control systems, backup generators, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and an Excellence Package which includes electric trim tabs, Glendinning cable management system, Bose Acoustimass 3 audio system in the salon, and galley upgrades.
