Review of Jeanneau Leader 10.5 and NC 1095 from a boat buyer's perspective

Review of Jeanneau Leader 10.5 and NC 1095 from a boat buyer's perspective

by Denise C.

I recently had the pleasure of attending the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, hailed as The Greatest Show on the Seven Seas, as a visitor and guest for the first time after having worked at the show for many years. I was very happy to have the opportunity to explore a few of the newest boats that InterMarine had on sale from the perspective of a South Florida boat buyer.

I'd like to preface this by stating that I have been involved in the marine industry since 2012. InterMarine is one of the largest and most established boat dealerships in South Florida. The boat sales people and the managers at InterMarine truly love and know boats, and they understand the Florida boating lifestyle. They live it and they breathe it. I myself am a boater. I love boats, and I love being on the water. So I was very excited to have the opportunity to inspect the newest boats on sale from some of my favorite brands like Jeanneau Powerboats, Four Winns, and Prestige Yachts.

When I first arrived at the Bahia Mar location of the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, I was a bit lost since the location of the main entrance has moved. It is much further north along the Bahia Mar, so that you actually enter the show on the north side of the hotel. I ended up entering through a tent and eventually found myself at the Hurricane Bar, where they were playing pleasant music, before locating the Bahia Mar H Dock which is where the bulk of InterMarine boat brands were on display.

My first stop on the Bahia Mar H Docks was at the Jeanneau Powerboats booth. I was really curious about the best-selling Jeanneau Leader 10.5 and the brand new Jeanneau NC 1095. I knew these two boats were a must-see. I also wanted to know what kind of boat sales and special pricing InterMarine had on these new Jeanneau boats for the Boat Show.

JEANNEAU LEADER 10.5

The Jeanneau Leader 10.5 is a dream of a boat. This is a 34' express boat that feels like a 50'. Upon entering the Leader 10.5 I could see that the cockpit is wide and open. InterMarine is big on family and family boating, so the layout they selected for their display Jeanneau Leader 10.5 included abundant, comfortable seating and a removable dining table. This model is also available with a more pared-down cockpit layout for those who want more room for other things like fishing.

Another fantastic feature of the Jeanneau Leader 10.5 is the built-in gas grill (with built-in drawers!) right in the cockpit, right in front of the table so all you have to do is throw your cleaned fresh catch on the flames and serve. Voila!

Down below is just as impressive as above. Simply put, the Jeanneau Leader 10.5 cabin is comfortable. It has wide steps, lots of big windows, a microwave, fridge, convertible dining area/V-berth, mid-cabin, and a head with shower. The cabin is so open and bright that you really don't feel closed-in at all. The space is utterly comfortable.

JEANNEAU NC 1095

Next, I wanted to see the Jeanneau NC 1095. This new power boat from Jeanneau is very popular and there were a lot of boat buyers inside. When I finally got to hop on, I was amazed. This has got to be the most comfortable 35' weekend family cruiser around. Once again, I was impressed by the amount of natural light aboard the Jeanneau NC 1095. The cabin windows are HUGE! You really get a panoramic view of your surroundings. I can imagine being out in the beautiful waters of the Caribbean, cruising along to the Bahamas, soaking up the sun while still enjoying the cool air conditioning. This is what the Boat Life is about!

One really interesting feature aboard the Jeanneau NC 1095 is the sliding door starboard, right next to the helm station. While this door helps bring in more light into the salon, its real practical purpose is to provide easy access to that side of the boat, helping to make docking (and other tasks) easier.

The most amazing thing about Jeanneau NC 1095 is that, at 35' LOA, this cruiser houses not one, not two, but a potential three comfortable cabins down below. What's even more impressive is that every single one of these cabins has either a window, a skylight, or both. This is a small but important detail that makes a huge difference when it comes to buying the right boat for your family. Boats can get rather small very quickly, and having wide views of the outside from within one's own cabin can be priceless.

Overall, it is easy to see why Jeanneau Powerboats are quickly gaining a strong following here in the United States. They are stylish and elegant, yet practical and comfortable. According to online reviews, the handling is smooth and performance is strong, but naturally, the best way to experience this is to schedule a water test (formerly known as Sea Trials) with the local Jeanneau dealer, InterMarine Boat Sales. Contact them to tour their boats for sale and talk to a boat professional to get started.

In my next post, I will review the luxurious Prestige 590 Yacht. This gorgeous luxury yacht also made its North American debut at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, and it really does make quite a statement. Stay tuned for this review!

You can shop all of InterMarine Jeanneau Power Boats for sale here. They also sell Chaparral boats, Four Winns, Belzona Marine, Bayliner boats, Nuova Jolly RIBs, and most recently they also have Wellcraft fishing boats for sale. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram, and see their contact page to get in touch with them directly. View InterMarine store locations and InterMarine store hours here.

Happy Boating!
