For over 30 years, Prestige has reinforced its recognizable signature style and consistent commitment to its reputation for luxury, evolving gradually yet continually over time.
But in 2020, working in partnership with Garroni Designs, Prestige has taken a radical departure from tradition, completely reinventing the flow of space, light, and movement on board the spectacular, all-new X70, which will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.
“The biggest departure was how we blended the interior and exterior together,” according to Stromberg, as Prestige launched its new X-Line dedicated to “the art of living well.” The X70, first of this new line, launched in August 2020 and combines all the comforts of a luxury villa or private island with the pleasure of life at sea.
The X70’s innovate layout moves the side decks up to the flybridge level and increases the space in the living areas so that the salon, cockpit, and forward master cabin take advantage of the full beam of the X70. Four staircases make accessing the flybridge convenient from every area of the boat. The flybridge itself offers plenty of room for sunbathing, dining, socializing, and enjoying the ride from the comfortable L-shaped settee in the helm area.
The main deck features four roomy, open-concept living areas: an elongated cockpit; a full beam-width salon with freestanding furniture the owners can arrange as they choose; a central open galley with convenient, easy access to all the public spaces aboard; and an inside helm that features expansive wrap around windows, an elevated helm seat, and options for either a love seat or wrap-around seating on both sides.
The elongated cockpit gives the main deck a 50:50 ratio of indoor to outdoor space that results in a 300% increase in cockpit size, making it feel far more like an island oasis than the usual 70:30 ratio, and giving owners and guests more intimate connection to the water. There’s plenty of room for dining, sunbathing, or just relaxing with a cocktail and a good book. At the water level is the “beach club,” an area that provides room for sunbathing and access to swimming, diving, or water sports activities.
The accommodation level offers four staterooms: an expansive owner’s suite with ensuite bath midships, accessed by a private staircase; a VIP suite forward roomy enough to include a large walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom, accessed by its own private staircase; and two guest cabins, both featuring ensuite bathrooms and accessed from a separate private staircase. Prestige can also configure separate crew accommodations as an option.
Every inch of the Prestige X70 is crafted with materials of the very highest quality, from the leather upholstery by Foglizzo, the Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and the fine woodwork applied piece by piece, by hand. This dedication to quality and craftsmanship creates an elegant, sophisticated atmosphere aboard.
Volvo IPS 1200 or 1350 pods power the X70 to provide refined, fuel-efficient local cruising. With a fuel capacity of slightly more than 1000 gallons and a cruising speed of around 20 knots, the X70’s 500-mile range accommodates island hopping and intracoastal cruising in comfort and style.
