We designed our Escapades specifically to share all of the joys of boating in South Florida with our customers and to help them explore new cruise destinations just a bit further offshore. We do all the research, legwork, and planning for you, so that you can relax and enjoy your boat as you and your family cruise in the company of like-minded boaters and experience “the good life” out on the water.
Every Escapade includes planned activities like dockside parties, dinners, or potlucks, as well as plenty of free time to enjoy as you wish.
Here’s a peek at some of the exciting getaways on the InterMarine Escapades Calendar for 2020.
Explore Hawk’s Key April 16-19
Just about halfway down the Florida Keys from Miami is a very special place called Duck Key – actually five small islands spread across 60 acres and connected by boat-accessible canals. Hawk’s Key is the first of these islands, home to the Hawk’s Cay Resort and Duck Key Marina. Only 100 miles south of Miami, it’s a world apart.
The island is small. Secluded. And you’ll definitely know you’re in the Keys when you experience the 50-shades-of-turquoise water, glorious sunrises and sunsets, and laid-back atmosphere.
A great destination for active families, Hawk’s Key offers opportunities to fish, snorkel, paddleboard, kiteboard, or explore the four neighboring islands on foot or by bicycle. Or just relax by the pool or on the beach with a frosty beverage. It’s completely up to you!
Celebrate Father’s Day with a Weekend in Bimini, June 18-21
Bimini is becoming a tradition with us here at InterMarine as a fine way to celebrate Dad in style. And Father’s Day Weekend 2020 we’ll continue that tradition.
Just a short 60-mile run from Fort Lauderdale, Bimini is like a tiny slice of heaven where you can be as active – or relaxed – as you want. The Bimini Big Game Resort and Marina will serve as our home port for the weekend, and it’s a great place to kick off your shoes, unwind by the freshwater pool, relax with that book you’ve been meaning to read, and toss back something tall and cool.
Or get out and explore! It’s easy on foot, by bicycle, or by rented golf cart to see what this little 7-mile long, 700-yard wide paradise has to offer. We recommend Alice Town, Bimini’s main village dotted with casual restaurants, craft markets, funky bars, and a small museum. But you can also book snorkeling or diving excursions through the resort, enjoy some of the best sport fishing in the Caribbean, or visit the Bimini Biological Field Station to learn about sharks from a dryer, safer distance.
Enjoy a Week-Long Grand Escapade to Eleuthera July 24-August 3
Just five years ago, in 2015, Travel & Leisure Magazine named Eleuthera “The Best Island in the Caribbean” for the second time in ten years. Famous for its casual sophistication, Eleuthera is home to isolated communities with unique, quaint New England style architecture, swanky resorts, and rocky bluffs as well as low wetlands and huge coral reefs. Eleuthera features lush tropical forests and enchanted pink sand beaches spread over 35 miles on the main island’s Atlantic coast and the Exuma Sound, as well as some of the sweetest pineapples in the world.
And while Abaco and Grand Bahama Island were devastated by 2019’s Hurricane Dorian, with massive damage sustained to those islands’ infrastructures, Eleuthera escaped with little more than low-lying flooding and brisk winds.
The Bahamian economy relies heavily on tourism, and one of the best ways to contribute to its recovery is to support the economy by visiting these amazing, friendly islands. InterMarine Boats is proud to host this Grand Escapade as part of the nation’s recovery.
