It's your HeyDay!

It's your HeyDay!

Bayliner Boats recently announced their acquisition of the HeyDay wakeboard models WT-1 and WT-2. This is exciting news for young wakeboarders and wakesurfers all over the country. You see, towboats are notoriously expensive due to the amount of extra equipment and technology needed (think wake towers, ballast systems, unique propellers, etc). HeyDay set out to change that by being a brand that brought affordable towboats to a whole new demographic without skimping on the necessary extras. Since its inception, HeyDay's purpose was to bring watersports to the thousands of everyday normal people who work regular 9 to 5 jobs, but long to get away on the weekends. Their product and price point are perfectly suited to sporty millennials and young families alike. This is why HeyDay was such a perfect fit for Bayliner: both brands pride themselves in providing boaters everything they need, and nothing they don't.

Image 0172: Man wakeboardingHeyDay wakeboarding boats feature a wicked silhouette with sharp lines that make the boats look edgy, sporty, very sexy- and FUN. Both HeyDay models, the WT-1 and WT-2, are built with the same wake-focused hull design to maximize sportability. HeyDay tractor boats, as they are called by those in the wakeboarding community, eliminated a bunch of unnecessary extras to focus instead of giving watersports enthusiasts what they really want: bigger waves. Both models incorporate ballast systems and folding wakeboard towers as well. Since InterMarine has already placed an order for the larger WT-2, due to arrive over the next few weeks, we are going to focus on all the goodies aboard that particular model.

Highlights of the Bayliner HeyDay WT-2

Why HeyDay WT-2? This model has a host of standard features that make it an incredible value. The options available are on par with the more expensive offerings in the market at a fraction of the cost. Many of the standard equipment and options are also available in the WT-1, but there are distinct differences. One of the biggest and most important differences is its size. The WT-2 is larger, at 22'6" and fits 12 passengers; the WT-1 is 19'6" and seats 9. As experienced boaters know, those 2 feet make an enormous difference and they're the reason too many people trade in their boat way too soon (two-foot-itis is real, folks). Those additional 2' will result in a boat that you will love for much longer.

Another difference in the WT-2 is the layout of the cockpit. In the WT-1, the helm is in an innovative center-console position which allows for greater flexibility in seating options. However, the WT-2 features a side-console configuration for more room and comfort on board, so you can bring more of your friends and everyone stays comfy.
