The end of the year is always a time of reflection. It can be very rewarding to look back on a year full of accomplishments and events which have brought us joy or success. Here at InterMarine, we have had quite an eventful year, and we'd like to take a moment to share some of the exciting things that happened this year at our South Florida boat dealership. Without further ado, here are InterMarine's Best of 2018:
1. A deeper footprint in the outboard industry:
In 2018, InterMarine added two more outboard boat brands to our solid lineup: WellCraft Fishing Boats, part of the growing Beneteau Group, and Miami-built Belzona Boats. These stellar outboard boat brands are part of a new generation of fishing boats which cater to both the fisherperson and their guests who crave comfort. InterMarine is very proud to be the appointed certified local dealer for Wellcraft fishing machines and the elegant Belzona outboard boats (check out this story to learn why Belzona is such a strong contender in the marine industry).
2. Grand Escapade – a tradition that remains a success story:
The InterMarine Grand Escapade boating trip has been a cherished, long-standing tradition with us and our clients for many years. The original Grand Escapade, which is still running, consists of 10 glorious days cruising around the Bahamas aboard our own personal yachts. THIS is what the Boat Life is about. Over the 18 years we've held our annual Grand Escapade, lifelong friendships have formed, precious family memories have been made, and romances have developed. Yes, InterMarine's Grand Escapade is the backdrop for a real-life love story! Two of our customers met at one of these Escapades. They fell in love, got married, and started their own little family!
3. The introduction of new models – Home runs for our market:
2018 was a phenomenal year for new boat models. Several of our boat brands released award-winning and best-selling boats which we are very proud to have in our new boat showroom. Jeanneau Powerboats released an instant hit with the new NC 1095 outboard cruiser. The smart and elegant layout of this family weekend boat quickly made it a boating favorite. Jeanneau also launched the new Leader 9.0 CC, a boat that won the 2018 Best of Boat Award in the "Best for Fun" category. We at InterMarine Boat Sales are very proud to be the local certified Jeanneau dealer.
Four Winns also had a strong year with the release of the all-new Four Winns 355 Vista Coupe OB in 2018. This American-built express cruiser offers sexy European styling- courtesy of parent company Beneteau- and a level of passenger comfort that surpasses all expectations (i.e., there's a king-sized bed down below!). No wonder it stole the spotlight at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show!
Prestige Yachts also hit a home run with their brand-new Prestige 590 yacht. This gorgeous yacht made waves at its World Debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, and again at the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Read more about the Prestige 590 here.
4. InterMarine Yacht Group expansion with a new location in North Miami Beach –
InterMarine Yacht Group, InterMarine's luxury division, has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years. This growth has led to the opening of an additional InterMarine Yacht Brokerage & Sales location at the Marina Palm Yacht Club in North Miami Beach. This location is ideal for the upscale clientele that seeks out Prestige Yachts, Dreamline Yachts, and brokerage yachts. We were very happy to have this location open just in time for the holidays. And that is InterMarine's Best of 2018! Every one of these highlights creates more opportunities for us to get people living the Boat Life. We feel incredibly blessed to be able to bring the boating lifestyle to people from all walks of life, from young fun-seeking friends to families to empty-nesters and beyond. It truly is a most rewarding thing to know that we help make priceless memories, and we're looking forward to continuing this mission in 2019.
