A Magical Adventure Awaits

InterMarine's 2020 Grand Escapade is currently in full swing. If you are considering joining our boating family, we’d like to entice you to take the jump with a peek of what’s in store for you.
Every InterMarine customer is invited to join our Escapades. We host several throughout the year. If your boat can travel longer distances, then the summer Grand Escapade to the Bahamas is sure to become one of your most cherished yearly traditions. Keep reading to see why.
Sailing off into the sunrise
Our Grand Escapade begins with a fun yet informative Captain's meeting in our South Florida headquarters in order to get acquainted with procedures and with each other.* Most of our customers have been with us for many years and travel together on most Escapades, so it is always a pleasure to get together during this meeting. We can assure you our new members are always welcomed with open arms. Sip on our InterMarine champagne, chat, socialize and mingle, and get ready for an incomparable adventure.
The next day, you’ll sail off with us at sunrise and delight in the gorgeous hues and tones of the early morning light. You’ll follow your new friends in queue into the open sea. You’ll never be alone - we do this together and always look out for each other.
After a few hours we'll arrive at the first destination. This year, we are heading to Eleuthera, and the first stop is Chubb Cay where, after clearing customs, we'll rendezvous on the docks for another fun get-together complete with cocktails and scrumptious food.
After arrival, you will no doubt sleep like a baby!
The next day is full of possibilities: explore the local pristine beaches, immerse yourself in the beauty of nearby islands, pamper yourself with a massage, or go out and party at our favorite local bar the Nauti Rooster. The nature of the experience is entirely up to you!
The rest of the trip is full of similar unforgettable experiences, adventures, boating, and camaraderie. Here are some of the additional highlights of this particular Escapade:
Spanish Wells
We will visit Spanish Wells, a small settlement on the island of St. George's Cay. This tiny island boasts some of the most beautifully pristine beaches in the world, with powdery pink sand and crystal blue waters. Additionally, the beaches are sheltered, calm, and shallow for quite a distance, creating a most perfect laid-back atmosphere for your family.
Harbour Island
Harbour Island was once the capital of the Bahamas and has been voted "The Best Island in the Caribbean" by Travel & Leisure magazine in several occasions. Its charming architecture and flair have influenced the aesthetic across the Bahamian islands. It is surrounded by warm, clear water ideal for diving, fishing, boating, swimming, and snorkeling. There is only one bank housing the only ATM on the island. This is truly a paradise. Immerse yourself in island living!
Glass Window Bridge
No trip to Eleuthera would be complete without a visit to Glass Window Bridge. Come experience the striking contrast between the rich blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the calm, turquoise of the Bight of Eleuthera, separated by a strip of land merely 30 feet wide. This is truly a natural masterpiece that will take your breath away!
Nassau
Nassau offers a marvelous blend of Caribbean paradise and cosmopolitan allure. It is THE place to go for duty-free shopping, dining, and Bahamian nightlife. According to The Nassau Paradise Island Guide, "the streets of downtown Nassau, unlike any other island of the Bahamas, are living, breathing monuments to island cultures both centuries-old and magnificently modern." Delight in the historic architecture, modern murals, and magnificent monuments. Enjoy local John Watling rum and take a tour of the distillery. Visit Graycliff Cigar Company, is an award-winning boutique with 16 master rollers. There is no shortage of adventure in Nassau!
As if these magnificent locations weren't enough, each one of these stops is paired with many opportunities for fun, relaxation, adventure (including a scavenger hunt!), and lifelong friendships with your fellow boaters as we share meals, drinks, experiences, and memories. One of our favorite activities is White Night, an evening where we all dress in white to show off the tans we've acquired during the trip and share in a potluck dinner out on the docks.
Can you imagine how you, your children or grandchildren, and significant others will remember these magical moments? More than one love story has come out InterMarine Escapades, a testament to the truly enchanting nature of not only the trip but the unique relationships that are formed.

* This year, our Grand Escapade is a little bit different as we strive to keep our guests safe during the Coronavirus pandemic. We will be taking strictly-enforced precautions, including the following:
- Guests will be required to present negative COVID-19 test no more than 10 days old for all passengers over the age of two.
- Customs will be cleared only by the Captain of each vessel. All other guests must remain on board.
- Guests are encouraged to avoid close contact with others, cover all coughs and sneezes, and wash their hands often.
We will be monitoring local and international guidelines for safety as these are constantly changing.

The Bahamas relies on tourism. After the devastation of Hurricane Dorian in 2019, visiting the Bahamas is one way we can continue to support their recovery.
